Earlier the CHSL Exam Pattern comprises of Written test and followed by Skill test / Type test. ie CHSL Exam has no 2 tiers. But from this year, an addition stage have been introduced in CHSL Exam Pattern and this is Descriptive Paper.
Now the Question arises, why there is a need to conduct the Descriptive Paper and change the Exam Pattern .The recent SSC Notification, has answer to this Question
SSC had introduced the Descriptive paper, to check the Writing Skills of candidates, which is necessary for Government Jobs. This is a welcome step by SSC to introduce the descriptive test, as Employees in Government section, must know How to Write and present the facts on paper in their own Language. This addition, will make SSC CHSL more competitive. Not only in CHSL Exam, even for CGL 2016 there is also a Descriptive Paper of same Pattern.
