Age Limit: 18 to 25 years as on 01 April 2016. Maximum age limit may be relaxed by 5 years (10 years for SC/ST and 08 years for OBC).
Educational Qualifications:
(1) For Postal/ Sorting Assistant -> 10+2 standard or 12th class pass from a recognized University or Board of School Education or Board of Secondary Education (excluding vocasional stream).
(2) For Postman / Mail Guard -> Matriculation or equivalent.
(3) For MTS -> Matriculation or ITI from recognsed Board.
Eligibility:
(1) Persons who have represented a State or the Country in the National or International competition in any of required Games/Sports.
(2) Persons who have represented their Universities in the Inter University Tournaments conducted by the Inter University Sports Board in any of the required Games/Sports.
(3) Persons who have represented their State School's Team in the National Sports/Games conducted by all India School Games Federation in any of the required Games/Sports.
How to Apply: Application accompanied by all the documents and certificates (not in original) should be sent to the office of the Chief Postmaster General (Staff Section), Assam Circle, 4th Floor, Meqhdoot Bhawan, Guwahati-781001 on or before 20/11/2016 up to 23:59 Hours. The cover should be superscribed in BLOCK LETTERS as "APPLICATION FOR MERITORIOUS SPORTS PERSONS RECRUITMENT FOR THE POST OF ____".
