1) Date of Publication of Advertisement: 2nd July, 2016
2) Dates for Online Registration: 2nd July -1st August, 2016
3) Admit cards can be downloaded from : 2nd Week of Sept, 2016
4) Date of CHSL Written Exam: Sept and Oct, 2016

What is CHSL Exam for ?
SSC CHSL exam is for those who are looking for government jobs in India after 10+2. These are Group D Jobs in various Government departments and ministries. Over the years, this exam is known to be conducted primarily for two posts viz Data Entry Operator and Lower Division Clerks. However, in CHSL-2015 Exam, Postal Assistant / Sorting Assistant, post in Department of posts, was added.
Who can appear for this Exam ?
If, you wish to appear for this CHSL 2016 Exam, then you should full fill the below mentioned Eligibility conditions
1) Nationality : Applicant, must be an Indian Citizen.
Apart from this, applicants belonging to these countries, can also apply for CHSL Exam
1) A subject of Nepal Or Bhutan.
2) A Tibetan refugee, who came to India before 1st Jan, 1962, with the permanent intention of settling in India.
2) Age-Limit: Applicants, willing to apply for CHSL 2016 Exam, must have their age between 18 years to 27 years.
However, there is relaxation in upper age for the following categories
3) Educational Qualification: Applicant, should have passed the 10+2 (12th Class) from a recognized board or university in India.
- Those applicants, who have obtained their degrees through Open Universities / Distance Education mode, these should be verified by IGNOU.
- Appearing candidates for 10+2 exams, can apply for CHSL-2016, provided they have their results declared before 1st august, 2016.
- If you qualify the CHSL Written test, then you will be called for Skill test / Type test and at that time, you will have to produce your original documents viz Original copies of mark sheets, provisional certificate etc.
